(english.cnhubei.com) Hitachi Ltd, Japan's biggest electronics group and one of the world's top 500 companies, held Hitachi Expo 2008 in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province on 2-3 December to seek cooperation opportunities in central and western China.
Li Hongzhong, governor of Hubei met with heads of Hitachi and introduced Hubei's advantages in technology, education, resources and transportation.
Hitachi has started to discuss cooperation with Hubei in fields as urban rail transportation, airport expansion project, CBD development as well as energy-saving technology.
Hitachi current has no investment project in Hubei.
It is the first time for the company to hold large expo in central and western China since an expo in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou in 2004.
