Cornielje (L2), Governor of Netherland's Gelderland province plants a tree
(english.cnhubei.com) A delegation led by Cornielje, Governor of Netherland's Gelderland province visited central China's Hubei Province from April 13 to 19.
Hubei's Governor Li Hongzhong met with the delegation of 49 people and two sides signed a 2008-2010 cooperation scheme to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.
The delegation also attended the opening ceremony Holland Customs Garden which was built early this year under the suggestion of Wuhan, the provincial capital and its sister city, Arnhem of Gelderland.
Cornielje planted a Magnolia, hoping that the tree can witness the friendship between Hubei and Gelderland.
Gelderland signed a contract to become Hubei's friendship province in April, 2006.
