(english.cnhubei.com) China has approved Wuhan city Group in central China's Hubei Province as pilot reform city targeting energy saving and environment friendly society through reforms.
National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China's top economic planner, urged Wuhan city group, known as "1 Plus 8",to take the initiatives in pushing forward comprehensive reforms in order to achieve coordinated and balanced development.
Wuhan is the fifth pilot reform cities following southern Shenzhen, eastern Shanghai's Pudong New Area, northern Tianjin's Binhai New Area and southwestern Chongqing and Chengdu.
