(english.cnhubei.com) Wudang International Tourism Festival will be opened on the evening of September 12, 2006.
Wudang Mountain, located in Shiyan city in central China¨s Hubei Province, was listed by UNESCO in 1994 as a World Culture Heritage Site.
An evening party staged by a CCTV program crew at the opening ceremony to celebrate the festival. During the festival there will be more than ten activities such as Wudang Mountain tourism promotion, Wudang Mountain visiting and Wudang Vehicle Fair.
Wudang International Tourism Festival is one of those large festivals held by Hubei provincial government.
